1947 Introduced by Herman Miller - Love of ‘Biomorphism’ - naturally occurring patterns
Produced in walnut, birch & cherry. Later in ebonized walnut. Birch discontinued in 1954.
Herman Miller ceased production in 1973 - and the table became an instant collectible.
Herman Miller reissued it in 1980 with a limited edition of 480 tables · [Circa this table]
1984 reintroduced for ‘Herman Miller Classics’ in production ever since.

Its flared shade has a pleated texture that allows it to create myriad reflections. The Bourgie Lamp can be easily adjusted to three different heights thanks to its unique hood design. Very modern, with stamped squares in panels. Sturdy, strong and assembles easily with just an allen wrench. Vintage classic yet timeless in design.
